Larry Furr is a native of Denton, North Carolina, and the owner and operator of Larry Furr Presents Southern Theater & Event Center. Larry is foremost a Christian, and has demonstrated a life of service and sacrifice.

Never a Day Wasted
Larry has been been a hard worker since he was old enough to work, beginning with a Grit paper route. Often working multiple jobs at the same time, Larry learned a lesson that so many, today, never learned—hard work pays off.

Public Service
Larry went on to serve two decades as a volunteer for the rescue squad and for EMS, where he enjoyed bringing much needed comfort to the sick and injured.

Perhaps most notably, Larry has served in law enforcement for 46 years, and remains on reserves for area law enforcement agencies. However, Larry's days of wearing a badge did not begin with his career as a law enforcement officer—he was a safety patrol officer in grade school.

Current Activities
In addition to operating Larry Furr Presents and his reserve law enforcement activities, Larry owns and operates two additional businesses: Denton Fuel Center and Mitchell Oil. An active member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church, Larry also serves as the church Financial Secretary.
